HOW WE STARTED
It all began at Janice’s small home studio in Palm Desert in 2019. After relocating to the desert, Janice faced a whirlwind in her personal life that sparked a transformation, leading her to start music lessons in the area as a path to a new beginning. Her personal challenges fueled a deep commitment to helping others find joy and fulfillment through music.
Janice’s genuine passion for nurturing talent and unwavering work ethic, combined with the power of word-of-mouth, allowed her teaching business to grow remarkably, resulting in a long waiting list of eager students. Recognizing the significant demand for music education in the desert, Janice joined forces with local musicians and instructors to share her love for music with the community.
Combining her teaching expertise with her experience of working with many different musicians from all walks of life, Janice excels at connecting her students/clients with other fellow music instructors who can teach various styles, genres, and instruments.
Janice continues to wholeheartedly serve each client's needs, finding joy in the daily connections and engagement with them. Whether you prefer the comfort of in-home sessions or affordable bi-weekly lessons, we have options that fit your lifestyle and budget.
ABOUT JANICE
Janice started learning piano at the age of four and was classically trained during her upbringing. While she began with a classical music foundation, Janice later explored various genres, allowing her to develop her own unique style.
Despite her childhood dream of becoming a concert pianist, she sought to broaden her knowledge in other fields of study and ultimately earned dual degrees in Information Science and English Literature. Her opportunities to learn different music styles, teach students of all ages and levels, participate in music education research, write and produce music, and perform in various settings never ceased. Janice has been an active musician and educator for over 20 years.

STUDENT RECITALS
We love seeing our students perform at our Student Recitals! Recitals provide a great opportunity for students to get comfortable with playing for an audience, and it is our greatest joy to see our students gain confidence through that experience.
“The Jungle Book” is an original album created by Janice for the kids stage show at a water park located in Phuket, Thailand. The music and themes are inspired by Rudyard Kipling’s 1894 “The Jungle Book” while having an original flair and a style that is molded by Janice. The songs, based in strong themes of family, trust, and love were crafted to appeal to people of all ages and all backgrounds. Being performed where English is, primarily, a second language, Janice carefully crafted the music using complex themes and simplistic language to help reach the broadest audience possible.
